WHY

My purpose.. why am I going into journalism

Well, I love it. I love to read the news, I love to meet people and tell their stories. I love to get involved with things I would've never come in contact with meet people I would've never known.

Sometimes I think I want to be the kind of writer, I want to produce the articles that I would read. But.. that's not really true. I want to write the kind of articles that inform the public, give recognize to that which is deserving, and write for all types of environments, personalities, preferences and people.

I'm writing for the Daily Universe right now and so far I've talked to people about the emotions involved in Social Work, ski racing, police reports that I'm sure only BYU police receive (honestly, you're reporting a prank call? You lost your cellphone? Someone is smoking?)
